Mr Paul Dunphy was born with a three piece suit on and salt & pepper locks (in case you were wondering) in the thoroughly average East Anglian city of Peterborough.
He decided to pursue his love of being a complete tit in front of people when he trained to be an actor at Bretton Hall outside Wakefield. This preceded his move to Leeds in 2005 where he started DJing sets at various parties and bars before beginning his work at 96.3 Radio Aire‘s Burley Road bungalow. He made the leap to the Big British Castle in 2012 and has been nestled firmly in Auntie’s bosom since then.
When behind the decks he’s never knowingly underdressed and can be heard filling floors at his residencies at famed funk venue Smokestack in Leeds, Revolución de Cuba in Manchester, iconic jazz bar The Wardrobe & he can be heard playing a smorgasbord of stuff on Saturdays in the newest addition to Call Lane’s bar scene: Black Swan, Leeds.
